Just want to say thank you for the information on this site. My bike started not wanting to start about four months ago. I searched this site for others that have had the same issue. It led me to the Compensator. I took that info to my dealer and asked them to check it out. They just looked the other way for three months. I printed out and copied the info for them and they still would not even look at my bike. I kept taking videos of the problem and e mailing them to the service mgr. Nothing. They told me that there is no way that could cause that problem. I finally sent a msg to one of the owners asking them to please tell me where I could find someone that would work on my bike under the esp. finally I got a reply asking to bring the bike in and let them look at it. Behold they had to call me and tell me that there was only 2 splines keeping it in place and it was jumping on the spline, which would tell the computer that the bike was out of time and would not fire until you shut the ignition off and re try. it would start on the second try. My bike is a 2010 and has 62,700 miles on it. I have well used my extended warranty but it is like pulling TEETH to get anything done with it. After riding it knocking and rattling for 10,000 plus miles its finally right again. Thanks again!!!!!
