« on: December 04, 2014, 10:10:29 PM »

Is there anybody out there running the hawg wired 300 or 400 watt amps?  Which one is better? Cannot decide to get the      5 1/4 or 6 1/2 hawg wired speakers for the batwing. this is going in 05 SEEG with stock radio. Thanks for any input.  Tony

I have tried bunch of amps and speakers including those that you asking opinions.
What I can tell is just waste of money quality is poor comparing to hi end amp speaker.....
At the end and a lot of money spent I ended with this speakers:  in the fairing http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9109_Polk-Audio-db6501.html        (you have to use speaker addapters from 5 1/4 (or what ever is factory size) to 6 1/2'' , u can find it in every HD store.

and this in saddlebags: (forgot what I used ) but you can pick something here: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewcat.php?category_id=30&sort_order=best_rated&page=1&items_per_page=100

and this amp:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_39894_Polk-Audio-PA-D4000.4-PAD4000.4.html
and after you install everything you gonna have nice , loud, and crisp sound doesn't matter if you sit in the front of the house or on hwy clear sound ....

The Hawg Wired equipment seems to be really good quality equipment that performs well both in the driveway and riding. Time will tell just how good the quality is. I have installed several high end systems in both cars and boats but this was my first system for a bike. I did allot of research and decided to go with this system on my 2010 CVO.

There systems are very user friendly and they make it easy to expand to more amps and speakers down the road if that's what you want. There is a member on this site (Jim) from Metal Dragon that can help you with your purchase if you decide to go with the H.W. equipment

I have the hawg wired 400 and there 5 1/4" speakers in the faring stock speakers it the tour pack. I wish I would have done the 6 1/4" speakers in the faring. 3 years with no trouble.
Except the H/K head unit.
