Windvest Windshields
« on: December 26, 2006, 06:14:06 PM »

I don't like most windshields I see, but about a year ago I discovered Windvest (www.windvest.com).  These are the best looking, and highest quality windshield I've ever seen.  Just put the 14X14 on our Street Bob and it doesn't detract from the bike at all.

They are about 2 minutes from my house.  A lot of people around here use them and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

I used a 14" x 14" smoked Windvest on my Confederate America GT. I bought a different set of mounts for my 2000 Deuce and could swap it between bikes in minutes by removing only two screws.  I used it for over five years and it functioned well and looked good on both bikes. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Fast Aire http://www.fastaire.com makes a pretty decent windshield too.....especially for baggers.

I checked the site and it looks like Fastaire makes shields only for fairing equipped bikes. Windvest makes them only for non-fairing bikes, and includes some elegant mounting hardware.

I had the fastaire windshield and IMHO there is no better windshield than my Clearview! Hands down! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Hey, not sure who started the "Fastaire" post. But thanks, I looked up their web site. The prices look pretty good.

My 98 has a few miles (km) on a product I made myself, or at least cut myself.

Due for new, and again you guys come through.

Sniper,

Fast Aire is just plain good stuff.  They're so inexpensive that you can replace them each year or sooner.  I've used Fast Aire on my other bike, and once my windshield on my SEUC gets boogered up, I'm going to use a Fast Aire again.  Too good and too economical not to.
