Using my phone

Can't figure out how to use my IPhone on my bike.  I can hear over the speakers but other end can't hear me with or without the intercom (wired model from HD).  What am I doing wrong?

Wired headset is fine. You can not use it without a headset.

so the wire headset is working for intercom but when a call comes in it's not...
