Fullsac DX with OEM muffler's
« on: November 20, 2014, 11:48:33 AM »

At this moment I'm planning on using my stock breather , Fullsac DX header , SE Tuner and OEM mufflers (with stock baffles) on my FLHTKSE . I want to get rid of the cat and add a little rumble . I like the look of my bikes exhaust . The baffle tubes come out flush with the end of muffler . If I change-out the stock baffles with Fullsac Power Core CVO's  the baffle tube will be short and not flush . Not the look I want .  I ran  with a V&H Power Dual and OEM exhaust on my FLHTCUSE7 for a while and liked it . Any thoughts would be appreciated . :)

I am sure it would work fine but you may not pick up much loudness by just eliminating the convertor. I did the baffles first and ran it that way for about six months before changing out the head pipe to a DX and really didn't notice any difference. You could drill the hole for the retaining bolt close to the end of the muffler body and that should get you close to flush. I drilled mine about one inch in and they are recessed slightly but still fully visible.

I am in the minority here but I have the DX pipe, stock mufflers/baffles, stock air filter, Fullsac's TTS map and couldn't be happier than the way it sounds/runs.  Just right for me.  (2014 SE Limited).  I believe you will be very happy.

With this set up do you have much "decelerating pop"?

I have some but it doesn't bother me anymore.  When I mentioned it to Steve he told me he could not tune it all out but he made me another map and it is better.   I have read on here that someone else stated the 14 and 15's were hard to tune the decel pop out.  Why so I have no idea.

I had a little decel pop when it was all stock at times.  The bike runs so good now that I really have no complaint.

I'm curious to know if you can feel a difference in power with the stock mufflers compared to the Fullsac baffles having the DX header?
