HK radio cuts out then comes back on,,,

My radio cuts off for about 10 seconds then comes back on without doing or touching anything,, any ideas?   It's not a plug issue,, because it's fine even over bumps and bad roads . Any thoughts?   Thanks in advance. Stuart.  :nixweiss: :nervous:

When does it cut out, since it's not on bumps and bad roads?  Is it on every band (AM, FM, XM, weather)?  What about ipod, CD, and auxiliary?  Might help us narrow it down.

Today the iPod was on when it happened. Then the both came on together app 10 seconds later.

The trouble with the HK radio in my 2009 Street Glide started like this. It will get worse and then the audio will eventually be gone forever. Contact Iron Cross in Oakland, NJ. They do a complete head unit rebuild and weatherproofing for $250.

On my UC i somehow turned on the cb and the squelch would break thru while riding. Drove me nuts. Spend some time make sure there's not something overriding the audio

I did talk to Tony,,  he thinks it was a power to the radio interruption.  He asked me to clean the fuse that might have had some moisture film build up..  I replaced it and went for about a 150 mile ride sunday.  All was good so far.   See what happens.   That would be too easy if that's all it was.   Stuart  :nixweiss:

Where is the fuse? Side cover or under the faring?

I don't have a cb radio.   I was having some issues with low voltage. I'm thinking that could have been a problem. I was in daytona.  Replaces the battery.  It was Almost 3 years old. Then over the weekend,, the voltage regulator had to get changed out.  The battery and check engine light was coming on,,, and wasn't charging.  I did put a new fuse in also,,   So I'm hoping I'm good for now.,,
