It's not that black and white.  Consider it from a different perspective.  Say for example:

You have kids.

Kids are given money/gifts/holiday presents by neighborhood drug dealer.

Kids no longer fear drug dealer.

Drug dealer has lowered recruiting threshold to his activity.

Some might prefer the kid go without a gift rather than have that threshold lowered.

Not speaking to HA specifically here.  But this has been a common tactic with Cartels to street kids all over Latin America, with gangs in the US and with organized crime all over the world for years.

Good for them.  The club isn't directly giving the toys but looks like they've been doing this for about 16 years. They are giving to a local group (Poverello House) that distributes them to needy kids.  Just a portion of the article:

"According to the Inquisitr, the Angels’ toy run is a longstanding tradition. For about 16 years, the biker gang has been dropping off bikes and toys for needy kids at Poverello House.

The biker gang also holds an annual toy drive for the home.

“People read what they want to read, and believe what they want to believe, we believe in these kids. We want to make sure to bring these toys here for these kids to have a great Christmas,” Merl Hefferman, secretary of the Fresno Hells Angels, told KMPH back in 2010.

"This really helps us to be able to provide a child a toy, most of the families that come here, the only gift they’ll get for Christmas is from the Poverello House," Kathryn Weakland, former director of development and communications at the Poverello House, said at the time"

Yeah I would have to agree with you smkymtnboy. I could be wrong but I am thinking Fisherman has never had a friend, son, daughter or other loved one addicted to heroin, cocaine or crack. I am no expert but speaking from a little experience it is not a pretty sight, it is not anything I would wish anyone or family to endure. If he had the experience I am thinking he would be singing a different tune. And Fisherman if I am off base here I sincerely apologize.
