gas tank filler hole pealing

A buddy of mine just came buy on his recent build with custom paint   I could hear a hissing coming from the filler hole so we removed the gas cap to reveal the paint beginning to blister  not bad but  i think it will become a major problem  do u guy know of a sealer he could apply to stop this  his painter is out of state  so he is not in the mood to pull the tank and send it back years ago u could buy a stainless ring (paint saver) to cover this area but i have not seen one recently  thanks for any ideas

"Hissing from the filler hole"?  Are you sure he's using a vented cap?  Could be a disaster waiting to happen!!!

I have these on my '01 Fatboy for several years and like them.

Just be sure to get the VENTED version.
