Help turning on XM module.
« on: January 20, 2015, 02:14:54 PM »

I just bought a FLTRUSE used. I didn't get it from the original owner, and there doesn't seem to be a manual for the xm radio. I assume there's one in the fairing as it came with the bike and it says XM on the radio when you bring up the different source functions. FOr example, Am,FM, WB, CD, iPod and XM.
When I put it on the XM, it says no signal. I'd like to know what to do to identify the radio so I can get the subscription, but I don't know how to proceed as there is no XM manual.
Can anyone help me.
THanks

Just turned on my '15 but it should be the same.  Your '11 came with an XM module and you should be able to tune to Channel 1 where you will see a phone number and ECM (identification) number.  Just call the number with your credit card in hand. You might also want to go online first to see what plan you want and any current deals offered.  That's what I did when I installed XM in my '09.

I'll try that. I have a Sirius Radio and my wife has an xm. One of us should be able to add it to their plan. Just wasn't sure how to identify the radio in the bike.
I'll check it out tomorrow when I'm at the warehouse.
Thanks a lot.
