I like the CVO due to the fact I like all the extra stuff, Chrome and paint, and wheels.  I pretty much put on a Fullsac exhaust, a tuner.  Then put 45K miles on it and trade it on a new one.

Learned on other bikes ended up with CVO money in them before I went to trade, then you get nothing for the stuff you added.

What I have added to my 15 SERGU will be removed when traded, which is the solo tour pack set up and seat.  Seat came from last CVO.  I will be able to use it all on the CVO I trade this one for.

Have to agree with Dave. CVO's will get you a better trade just because it's a CVO. My other bikes, non CVO, I've put way more money in them than a CVO and didn't get jack , unless a private buyer just had to have it. Those buyers are few and far between.
