Harley Road Atlas
« on: January 09, 2007, 03:00:20 PM »

I received one of these for Christmas, and its a really nice book, better than the HOG atlas.

http://www.randmcnally.com/rmc/store/strProductDetail.jsp?OID=108006&POID=-13311

Each state has information on that state's motorcycle laws like helmets, eye protection, side by side riding etc.

There are featured rides for many of the states too.

Overall a really nice product.

I think Don (Twolane) mentioned sometime back about these and if I remember correctly he picked his up at a truck stop for a significant savings.

Canuck had a thread on these.  Many of the dealers have them.

Someone mentioned them (don't remember who).  Think they were about twice as expensive at the dealership as I got one for at a Petro truckstop.  At least then it was $19.99 at the Petro.

I have one and love it. It has 1st edition stamped on the cover. Looks like HD is going to produce these yearly with other featured & scenic rides. Just another ploy to make Moe Money for the MoCo.

My only gripe is that they use yellow & lime highlights to differentiate between the featured & scenic routes.....it's really hard to tell the difference between the two on the maps. Other than that it has great info.

I totally agree, very hard to tell. They definitely need a better color. Oh yeah, mine was a gift, but the back cover says $34.95.

[smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  Jamey won his at a HOG meeting, along with a bunch of other cools stuff.  Great little map.  Jamey wants me to find the stamp for his fav restaurants and post them on the map so we can find them, like the HD shops.  ;D
