Interesting Harley Advisory Panel re Heated Gear
« on: February 14, 2015, 12:58:01 PM »

Lots of questions about heated gear in this months Advisory Panel.  A few about what if could control heated gear from the infotainment screen.  THAT would be very cool!

Maybe an aftermarket company like lockpick will come out with something.

That would be nice.  In the meantime, several companies have gear that is adjustable via a wireless controller.   I have a small piece of Velcro that attaches mine to the top shelf of my fairing.   I use Powerlet heated gear and it works great.

I have the Warm N Safe heated gear with the BlueTooth controller.  Shouldn't be more than a software upgrade to add control to the existing BT on the premium systems.

I noticed that on the advisory panel survey.  Yes it would be cool to be able to adjust it all from the infotainment system, especially if you could do items separately.

They also seemed to be real interested in battery powered.  I much prefer to be plugged in, so I can ride all day, in 30's.
