First Ride this Season
« on: March 08, 2015, 10:36:49 PM »

So weather has turned very spring like in the last two weeks and the 10 day forecast looks dry and warm (for Canada) so insured the bike yesterday and went for a ride today, Silverstar Mountain to Salmon Arm and back. Great to be out. Somewhat spooky to be riding on bone dry roads with snow covered fields either side and a balmy 14oC. I live on a ski hill, so getting off the hill was dirty with the melt, but 5oC even there. Not been ridden for 4 months and started first crank, just a battery tender, fuel stabilizer and a heated garage.

Skied in the morning rode in the afternoon, perfect!

That does sound perfect.  Just one thing...   ...

Can't seem to get a single picture below the size threshold. Will play around and once I have worked out how to compress the image,  I will post some pictures!

Glad you were able to get out for a ride  :2vrolijk_21:  I'm still waiting for a rain to wash the chemical de-icing agents of the roadways -- and it's pothole season here in CT, and it looks to like it's going to be a bumper crop  ::)

I'm jealous. We have about the same conditions here but I don't want to ride in the leftover salt dust.
