Dyno tune results
« on: February 20, 2015, 03:35:47 PM »

I am glad I got my CVO tuned.  I am running Fullsac 1&3/4" baffles Dogherty Power Pac A/C with TTS tuner with a canned map.  Stock cams.
I replaced the lifters with S&S premiums as a preventive measure.
Anyway, I went from 81.72 hp to 90.88 hp.  Tq from 98.5 to 108.52.
Smoother curves and better AFR.
I'm glad I had it done.    :)

The cat is out of the box  :D
It was in the muffler.  (The newer bikes have it in the header pipes).
The reason for my post was that initially I didn't want to get my bike dynoed.  I was happy with the 40-42 mpg I was getting, and the bike ran like a top.  I had new lifters put in as a preventative measure.  -Had the crank run-out checked, cams inspected (obviously put in new bearings).  I had my Street Glide Special dynoed and the 5K service done and the dealer had a 20% off deal going on.
I live at about 5,300 ft. elevation.  I personally really like the SE255 stock cams (that's what I put in my SGS).  I just wanted everyone to know that although the canned map provided by TTS seemed great, there was quite a bit of power gained.  I assume there are several CVO owners who have just done the exhaust, A/C and tuner with a canned map.  You folks may want to get the
dyno tune.  I had almost a 20 ft lb gain at about 2,600 rpm!  The extra hp and tq I mentioned in my first post was just the peak gains.

Thought you'd like to hear about the dyno results on the '14 SGS.  (It was just delivered).  103" motor.
I put some Very quiet Supertrapps on with Vance&Hines true dual headers SE A/C SE255 cams and SE tuner.  The Hp was almost the same as my CVO!  90.34.
Tq was 102.88.  It was at 100 by about 2,700 rpm and didn't drop below that until around 4,600.
Again, I had substantial gains over the canned map that was initially installed.
I'm sure glad I had this bike dynoed too!
-Hopefully spring returns soon

Just a Dragula 2 (2 into 1) exhaust and tuned on the dyno with the SE pro tuner. About 97 and almost 118. Like the OP said, if you can get it tuned on a dyno by someone who knows what they are doing, there is a diff. Like him I saw a huge gain from about 2500 to 3000 rpm.

Not sure of the exact model, but they're slip-ons with discs.  Sorry but I don't know how many I'm running.  The sound is really good.

I had mine done at a dealer, too, and it came out great. I guess they are learning.
