FULLSAC 2.5 CVO BAFFLES
« on: March 09, 2015, 08:40:07 PM »

I have the fullsac 2.0 cvo baffles and they are not deep enough or loud enough. I'm  thinking about trying the 2.5 baffles. Can anyone tell me how these sound? What would you say they sounded like? Or what do yall recommend to put on my 09 cvo rg? reinhart vance and hines 450 ? I want a deep loud rumble and loud when I put the gas to it.

I also had the Fullsac 2.0- they came with the bike. Tasteful sounding, a bit of a rumble, perfect for some but like you, I wanted a mean sounding idle and a mean roar when I twisted it.

Rinehart 4" are what I went to, and I recommend them from what I think you are looking for. However, if you still have a cat in the headpipe, then they might not be all that loud.

I'd also check out the new Bassani DNT- do a search, I have a thread in this Exhaust Forum. I'll bet they are even deeper sounding, but I don't know how they are performance wise, whereas the Rineharts are good performers.

I have the 2.5 baffle with the DX head pipe.

On my last bike (113ci) I had the Drago Dragula 2 into 1 with 2.3" baffle.

The tone and loudness to me seem to be about the same and I am extremely happy with this Fullsac system.

Not knowing that head pipe you have.....this makes as much a difference in the tone and loudness as the muffler.

Hope this helps.

I assume you're referring to the 2.25" baffles.  Here are Steve' (owner for Fullsac Performance) early comments:

To give a comparison that we can all relate to. We all have a friend with Rhinehart true duals. You know, our friend we don't ride behind that loves to share his wonderful pipes with the world. Ok, even the my largest 2.25 cores won't be nearly as loud as the Rhinehart true duals with their standard 2.25 cores. A combination of the 2 into 1 into 2 and the material in the stock CVO mufflers do a lot to cancel additional sound. As for power? Its possible there is a couple more HP with the larger 2.25. If you have headwork and cams the likelyhood of seeing more power with the bigger cores greatly increases. I really urge people to choose core sizes based on the sound level they want to listen to all day. For those who enjoy a deeper more aggresive exhaust note, the 2.25 will deliver a little extra bark over the 2.0 and 1.75 cores for sure.
Thanks everybody for your continued interest in my parts.

Steve

And here:  Muffler core Dyno Test! 2.25 vs 2.0 vs 1.75. Is bigger better?

I have 2 1/4" on my SERK, my son has 2 1/2" on his CUSE......I can't tell much in sound, but remember reading where Steve said you were giving up a little with the 2 1/2's

Thanks alot guys. I have the fullsac cat less header. The bike sounds ok when I'm on the gas but at idle and at cruising it's not loud....I have been thinking about the rinehart 4 inch and the v&h 450 high output.....some rineharts I hear are not loud and some are I guess the loud ones are cat less.....thx for all your comments this helps alot.

I have the 2" baffles installed, Steve says these will give you your best performance with his pipe and tune...You have to remember what you hear and what 'they' hear are completely different...A buddy of mine and I switched bikes while on a ride last year and I followed my bike for the first time and couldn't believe how much louder it was listening to it from the business end...IMO there is a fine line between sounding good and over compensating...I say make it rumble but keep the peace..RIDE ON.   POPS

I have the 4 inch Reinharts and had them on with the cat header and now the full sac FX header.  They are louder with the full sac.

On my 2010 X, I had Bub TDs, the Reinharts are not as loud as the Bubs, but I like the deep sound of the reinharts and can ride all day.
