Help Vance and Hines Part #16759 work on 2012 Street Glide
« on: April 12, 2015, 04:36:57 PM »

I just bought a Vance and Hines Power dual header from Craigslist. The person told me that 16759 Vance and Hines part number would work on my 2012 CVO Street Glide. The only difference was that the bung for the O2 sensor on the pipes is 18 mm.  He said that i can use a reducer for the 12 mm o2 sensor we use on the newer model. Can some one that has experience with the Vance and Hines let me know this is correct. I don't want tear down the bike and not have the correct parts.  I also got a Power Commander V for the tune .   Thank You

Which version of the PCV did you buy, the plain version or the so-called auto tune version?  The auto tune version uses 18mm sensors.  And if you plan to run the plain version, that one doesn't use oxygen sensors at all so you would just need to install plugs in the sensor holes.

IMHO the best approach would be using the correct pipes for your model and a tuning solution that utilizes your sensors and runs in closed loop at cruise.  In other words, the stock ECM and one of the flash tuning systems such as TTS, Power Vision, etc..  But if you're set on the PCV, I would imagine the pipes you bought should work.
