Big B, Local dealer here is doing a special, 1550 kit installed with download for $1500 til Dec 15.
883 to a 1200 for $995 installed.

I agree, the heads and cams would give you the best bang for the buck, the added displacement will usually only add a few more ponies. I reference the site below, because they have info any many questions asked in these forums!

OR...$950.00 for revperformance 98" bolt on cylinders/forged CP flat top pistons/rings/wristpins
        $265.00 for 37 chain cams
          $300.00 for Big Boyz street port and decking of heads for 9.7:1 comp.
            $65.00 for gasket kit (rev perf kit includes .030 cometic head and base gastets)
              $1575.00 total   .....will get you 100/100 with good pipe and tune
Good setup, but unless he's a good wrench, the labor will put him closer to $2K for all of that.

Sorry I never answered this, but yes I was using my poor neighbor Cappy as an excuse to try to sandbag Beags. I figured I'd get a hot 103 setup in LD and then run down Beagle and his Cherry Bomb with my " 96"  Kinda like a certain Road Glide ridin guy I met in MV who lives in West Virginia.  ;D
