Does anyone have the compensator / trans. tool ....
« on: May 29, 2015, 09:22:56 PM »

I'm needing to replace my final drive belt on my 07 SERK. The tool that I need is part #48219, however it is not available from the MoCo, surprise, surprise. Its only a piece of steel that goes between the compensator cogs and the cogs on the clutch pack side in the primary. If you have one and could give me the length and width so I could cut one, or any other idea, I'd certainly would be up for it. Thank you, in advance, for any and all advice. ( I really, really need to get back in the wind LOL )

Thank you for the link, Twolanerider. I'm heading out, in a bit, to get a piece cut to do that. Thanks again, Rick.

I have an assortment of aluminium in my scrap metal draw and just cut a piece 6" long from a 1/4"x1" bar stock.  Home Depot or Lowes carry bar stock in assorted lengths that can be cut down.  It really doesn't take much to hold the two from turning.

Thanks Dan, that's what I ended up doing, cut a piece of quarter in.by 1" flat steel and it worked perfectly. Now if only the dealer had given me the correct exhaust gaskets I'd be in the wind today. (It is raining so maybe not,oh well.)
