Ultimate Road Trip Around USA
« on: June 02, 2015, 09:54:21 AM »

A Facebook friend sent me a link to the following web site which maps a ~14,000 mile road trip around USA hitting many landmarks and most states.  At end of the article is a similar trip around Europe.  Was not sure if this had been posted, excuse me if you've seen it.  Many areas might want to modify slightly to visit a different landmark.  Just thought it might be something for your bucket list. :)

This person must have seen most of the west coast and PNW already....there is a lot of MUST SEE stops missing. Yosemite, The Redwoods, Crater Lake etc..... there is a lot missing.

I've seen this on Facebook, and thought boy they are really missing the sights of the west coast.

I'm thinking the same thing Terry.  And he missed Hwy 1 in all three west coast states.   He took the most boring route through California, obviously wanting to make time but he sure didn't see much.   :nixweiss:

He also missed Million $ Hwy (and nearly all of the Rockies), Bear Tooth Pass, etc.  He really missed it other than to say he'd rode through those states.

Think this was probably mapped for a car driver.  We need him to do one for bikes hitting scenic areas and bike roads.

For sure not made for Scooters. Log that many miles and miss the Overseas Hwy, Million $ Hwy, PCH1, GTSR........no way. But thanks for the post.

My bad.....looks like he did hit the GTSR

I believe this is more of a Iron Butt route to hit the lower 48 as efficiently as possible...not a sight seeing trip.
