Smartpartz Hard Kore Quiet Baffles
« on: June 12, 2015, 08:29:26 AM »

Just thought I would post a comment on the Smartpartz baffles.
I installed some V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 on my CVO Softail Deluxe but was unaware of how LOAD they was on the 110 model this HOG has .......
After a few weeks I needed to sort out just how load these was so ordered after a long conversation with the supplier the Smartpartz Hard Kore Baffle for V&H.
WOW....
still load but reduced the hard hitting notes that's was much more than I expected.
Very happy with the purchase and less concerned with getting pulled over by the Law.. :)

I have used those on V&H Monster Rounds (with True Duals) on my other bike, a 2003 Road King classic with big bore. The true duals made the Monster rounds very tiring on long stretches. The Hard  Kore Quiet baffles greatly reduced the pounding and added a little raspiness. A lot easier on my ears.
Also gave a little more low end but lost a little bit on top.
I am considering them on my 2014 CVO RK but the setup is not nearly as loud with the Power dual/Monster Rounds. True duals sound great but they will tire you out on long trips.
For now I am using ear plugs on any trip over 100 miles.
