« on: June 27, 2015, 05:41:20 PM »

Hi all,
The MTF http://www.mctourer.com sponsored the Hyder Seek this year, and I added the Team Strange Whispering Giants tour to the ride and this is what happened! a GREAT 10,000 mile trip.
Enjoy:

Very nice. How did the BMW hold up?

It was perfect, got 1 oil change at about 7,000 miles. Other than that nothing. Although I did learn a valuable experience regarding riding in heavy wind. The highway warning lightened signs said 35+ gusts and the + should have been a +++. The wind socks were blowing straight out and I had my windscreen raised too much because the wind direction was from the back rightside it caught my raised windscreen and actually lifted my front wheel and blew me within about 4' from the edge of pavement. From there on I lowered it as low as it could go. I believe because of my seat bag I was a virtual sail waiting to fly somewhere.
That never happened on my old Road Glide.
Ride Safe,
