Pre trip check up
« on: June 26, 2015, 04:10:14 PM »

Went to my mechanic today to get a pre road trip check up,. Drive belt condition, tension, tire condition, oil level, etc.
I want to cover any sort of a pre maintenance silly breakdown. Will have the wife along can't risk a breakdown I'll never hear the end of it.
Took some pic of my mechanics hang out and some of bikes.
I fly a Brit and a Canadian flag as my wife is Canadian.

Yup, most of us pray our bikes will not fall prey to all the HD problems when on a long trip  :)

Thanks for posting the pics.

Why is the license plate so low on the first pic - it takes away from the look of the bike, IMO.

Harley Guy,..I know!! tell me about it. The plate is the standard size over here, if you enlarge the pic you can see the plate light under the tail light. I do need to get a smaller plate.

But if a breakdown does occur remember to try and treat it as part of the adventure, it makes it much less stressful.

Absolutely the worst thing in the world is a squawking wife making a stressful situation worse.  I mean it's worse than a trip to the dentist.  I pray my bike stays together whe we pair up.  I wish I can turn off my hearing some times. Lol

Not a truer statement. But you haven't met my wife, If I was to say that to her when were sitting on the side of the road her reply to me would be "YYYYou know what you can do with your adventure" C@@T #@~@ I knew I shouldn't have come on this stupid trip ><@~# I want a cab ,.. get me a cab :'( :nixweiss:

I find the oposite to be the case...my wife is usually the one keeping me from having a swearing fit on the roadside while trying to repair something or waiting for assistance..

Some have have had more than their fill of that part of the adventure.
