Tire Pressure Monitor System added to 2015?
« on: August 25, 2015, 10:30:20 PM »

New CVO owner here, was planning on a 2016 but got an amazing deal on a brand new 2015.  Interested in whether the RPMS could be retrofitted to the 2015 for a reasonable price?  Pretty new so it may be a while before anyone knows but I thought Id throw it out there.

CAN it be retro fitted?? yes, I'm sure it can, probably a couple sensor and a radio re-program, but at what cost?? It's probably not at all complicated, which means the MoCo will charge $500 for it.

Be a lot easier to just change to tires that don't leak like the Dunflops.
On past bikes as soon as I got rid of the Dunflops I didn't have to add air nearly as often.

I checked on this as an add on to my 15 CVO. Was told no, it's not available as a retro at this time.

I would imagine at some point it will be, but for now.......

Thanks for the update....would love to add this if it is available at some point. Seems like the only feature I really wanted from the 16's.

Thanks east coast!  I got a 2015 Street Glide in carbon crystal with phantom flames. It's my first CVO but my 3rd street glide and my 5th Harley. I've already made a few mods including rear shocks, front turn signal LEDs, true duals / tune,  hard bag trays and screws, yaffe license plate frame, etc....  So far I am absolutely loving it!

And IROAR, thanks for the heads up on FOBO. I just ordered a set. Not sure how it will look on those beautiful chrome aggressors but the reviews are great on the functionality. Not bad for under $100!

Just installed mine.   It was easier to pair them with my cell before they were installed.  Fill your tires a little more than recommended because you lose a bit of air when you screw them onto the stem.  Reading from separate gauge was very close to the reading I got on my cell phone.  So far so good.

Can you tell us what you paid for your recent '15 CVO in lieu of buying a '16? It may help others with a 1 yr old '15 w/mileage/used.

Thanks.
