« on: August 15, 2015, 07:03:17 PM »

Does anyone know what the difference is between Harley part numbers 27710-11 and 27685-11?? My original was the 27685 and the dealer game me a 27710. I didn't notice it until theyclosed today so can't call to ask. They look the same :nixweiss:

Your original TB is obsolete, and now there is one part number that fits all 2011-2015 Touring models, P/N 27200002.  That part number is a kit that includes the 27710 TB and the 90383-98 rubber cap for the purge tube.

Interesting...
HD normally added a letter to a part number for revisions. (ie: -09a, -09b, -09c, etc)
If the part was physically changed they normally changed the basic part number.
The "- number" is usually the first year the part was used in that configuration.
Since they first came up with their numbering system they've got off track and it became a mess.
Now they've started over with part numbers designed for computers.
Wonder if there's a decoding key for the new numbers? Joe?
