True Dual Exhaust
« on: September 15, 2015, 10:20:46 AM »

I have Kuryakyn true dual headers running into Rinehart mufflers. The exhaust color in the exit of my left muffler is darker than the exhaust color in muffler exit for the front cylinder.  Pulled rear plug and reading was well within range. I remember Mastertune Tech retarded my rear cylinder timing 2 degrees due to detonation during hard acceleration. Bike runs great at all speeds. Is this normal to see darker exhaust build up at muffler exit on rear cylinder? Thanks.

Just taking a SWAG at this...could it be the rear cylinder is running richer than the front?  Front spark plug appearance?

Plug reading is good so I am just going to leave it alone and ride. Bike runs great so not going to worry about the darker pipe. Thanks for input.
