Rear axle adjuster
« on: September 14, 2015, 07:53:38 PM »

Just picked bike up from dealer 11000 mile sprocket/pulley had came apart warranty  took care of it. But my question is at 100 mph seems a little different, looked at adjusters and not the same on both sides,  should they be. Thanks

Since you haven't had a response, why don't you post some pics?

Yes, they should be, if I understand your question...  They have to be.  One side is welded and the opposite side is positioned with corresponding flats on the axle/adjuster.  Can you post photos?

If everything is as it should be, yes both sides should be the same.  Rather than just rely on the position of the adjusters though, the best way to verify the alignment is with a long straightedge that you run from the sides of the rear tire to the front tire.  A couple of 8 foot fluorescent tubes can be used in a pinch, as long as you're careful not to break them.  Any misalignment of the rear wheel and tire will be obvious after you rest the tubes against the sides of the rear tire and look at where the front of the tubes are.
