Make sure they check your passport at the TN/AL border, Jim.  TN has a daily limit on the number of escapees visitors out of Alabama.... :huepfenjump3:

(I know that because they almost didn't let me move here in 1991 being born and raised in the "Heart of Dixie".  The only reason they did was I was an Auburn fan and not that for the other little college around Tuscaloosa...)

Seriously, let me know when you are headed up here.  Jacksboro is just up the road....if'n ya got time, maybe meet for lunch or something.

Will do and I will even buy, I owe you one.

Chroming the wheels is the way to go, take about 10 minutes a wheel with a new bit and carefully blend the edges of the spokes, It really is that easy and the chrome WILL have no problem if you have a quality chrome shop do the work. Powdercoat is a good alternative but then you also need to blend the spoke (and other) square edges but not much, just enough to not have a razor edge.

When you pull the wheels, I wonder if you could tell me about the numbers that are stamped on the shocks?
I am going to convert my old original Bushtec to the modern shocks but I'd like to find out about their availability *other than * through Bushtec. I'm certain that they have the brand and part number stamped on them but haven't learned the number yet.

Pulled wheels today and put on a new set of stock ones I had laying around with new tubes, tires and bearings.  Did not see a part number on the shocks it may have been a sticker that Bushtec removes. I would think you could take one of the old ones to a parts store and get a match, maybe NAPA. May need to make a bracket for one end,  Grandpa Doc is the man on rebuilding the old ones, I never bought one older than 1994 to avoid obsolete parts issues.

Here it is with the factory wheels

Thanks for looking for the info for me. I feared that it wouldn't have visible numbers but was hoping they would be there.
