Using the SE Ventilator, does replacing the stock 29670-09 black paper element with the SE 29400022A red High-Flo K&N element remove the restriction?

Or is the Tilley +1” K&N filter the only solution if you want to stay with the Ventilator?

Wish I could comment. Haven't tested either one.

For those interested, the stock CVO "Ventilator" AC robs 2-3 HP and a few points of TQ on Stage I builds that are in the hi 90 HP range. I pull them off in between pulls on the dyno while the bike is still running to show the Guys that are interested. The SE Heavy Breather robs zero HP and actually bumps the TQ a couple of points. Intake noise does increase with the Heavy Breather.

Steve, I don't believe that a SE Heavy Breather will work on my 15 SESG because of the lowers. Other than the kit mentioned above, what would you recommend?

I run the shorty with my lowers no problem. If you have speakers in your lowers its a little more complicated.

It can still be done, but requires a spacer and a little shortening of the elbow to move the filter further back.

Thanks for the picture. I was told that it wouldn't work. Guess I shouldn't believe everything that I read on the internet lol.

I have found the same with the CVO AC.  I have had them with the K&N's and still had power pick up when I removed the filter.  I haven't seen that with the +1 K&N with stand offs.  I don't remember it being that expensive.  I remember looking up buying the filter and making standoffs and the price that they offered seemed more reasonable.

I have had great luck with HPI's AC, any of the filters that let air in from the top of the filter.  (several companies make them) and for a great filter for a cheap option.  The S&S super stock stealth AC with extended filter is supporting 150hp on my own ride.

I also run the shorty air filter with my heavy breather and lowers.  No problems, except that the billet cover will no longer fit either.  Around $80 for the filter

The heavy breather seems to be the champ on the 103-110 models

If you are interested in bang for the buck the S&S stealth cannot really be beat

Fullsac has seen 4HP increase and I have seen 1-2 more with modified engines
