I know other web sites have Breakout owners who claim to have 250 rear tires on their bikes, but has anyone on this forum done this? I'd love to hear any positive or negative comments.

I don't know of anyone that has done that, I will ask around.

I would not have seen this post if you had not posted on the Breakout section first.  These very specific questions for the Breakout sometimes get lost on the topic specific areas.

Try using the search tool on the site.  I know I've seen posts over the past couple years concerning the installation of 250 and even 260 rear tires on Breakouts, including a photo or two.

Thanks, Puzzled. I contacted Brett. Here is his reply: "260 fits fine without any clearance issues. I’ve done 7000km since fitting mine. So the 250 will be fine."

My '09 CVO Springer has the same wide frame and I run a 250 Avon Cobra and have for run them for the last 14000 mikes, It turns better in my opinion because of the rounder profile.
