2010 softail convertible exhaust
« on: November 28, 2015, 12:20:20 PM »

I just brought my orange 2010 softail convertible home yesterday.  I know the previous owners were proud of the sound it makes, but having spent a 40+ year career in the jet and helicopter business, I'm tired of loud.  The bike came with a beautiful set of V&H 2.5" pipes without baffles.  My thought is to find a set of pipes that will be more "true dual" in nature.  That is, 1 muffler on each side.  I know that is tough to do with the oil bag being right in the way, but I thought somebody might have an idea of a system that would work.

Freedom Performance make a couple nice sets. We have the American Outlaws on my wife's 2010 Convertible.
