Anyone running CFR Slip on and Big City Baffles?
« on: November 10, 2015, 10:57:41 AM »

I have a 2010 CVO Ultra. I currently run the 4" CFR and was needing to know if anyone has installed the Big City Thunder Baffles on their bike? I was told they would help recover some of the lost back-Pressure.

Yes I am, attached to a Fuel Moto Jackpot 2-1-2 Pipe. Running a Thundermax with it as I don't have access to a dyno tuner. Very happy with its get up and go but unfortunately can't help you with any Dyno Results. Went with the Thundermax as it self tunes and have used them on previous bikes with great success. It just looks after everything.

I have it will help but no where near what is needed to re gain the lost low end tq.

here is another tune we just did back to back CFR vs DD 1 3/4 core mufflers in a CVO 110. Engine is misting oil pretty good ( needs to be looked at has some piston noise as well ) .. But for us its a dealer selling a used bike that wants it tuned and not be a slug down low. So all we can do is tune and work with what is there.

Here is that sheet I would have to look for the baffle one. However it increased the tq down low approx 8-9 lbs still had the dip in it. So look at the curve until approx 3 grand and increase those numbers.

Steve,

How do the v&h high outputs compare to the cfr's as far as the torque loss down low?

Not as bad they are still soft down low but will peak out higher and fall off sooner.  There was a sheet with a before and after I posted up or the customer did a while back .. Royt was the customer

I've got a dangerous flat spot in the low end tune right where the clutch starts to grab under normal starts.  Same place in second gear.

I'm swapping the CFRs for V&H or Cobra mufflers.  Most likely Cobras.
