The vertical marks(actual scaring??) looks as though a very close fit piston.
What was the piston skirt/cylinder wall dimension?

What was the actual piston/wall dimension??

Very curious as to the dedicated piston skirt diameter, and the cylinder bore dimension to .0005"???........

Got a chance finally to stop and see the progress on my bike ,top end was all tore apart , my mechanic said they found the pistons and cylinders to be out of round . New parts were shipped up from S&S so I hope this is my fix  :2vrolijk_21:

I have almost 9000 miles on my 124 now and am completely enjoying it. Had a 400 mile day today and it was sunny and cold (for us- high 50' to low 60's) which really makes that motor purr. I went out to the middle of nowhere on the way to Palm Springs where I could really "let her rip" and really had a blast. I hope when you finally get to "go play" you enjoy as much as I have.

This is good news to hear. Anyone who has hung on after having issues stock, then changing motors and still having issues TWICE for some knows real disappointment not to mention all the extra $$$$$$. I say CONGRATULATIONS and enjoy that smile it makes along the way. :drink:
