Oh muck!!
« on: January 08, 2016, 07:31:30 PM »

Got into a mucky situation almost didn't get out of. I had gone onto some grass turning around I had done it in the same place a number of times before with no problem, but we have had some rain and this time the grass was having none of it,...it tried to swallow me up if I had stopped I think it may have.
See how far the mud is up the side wall

You need some 'knobbies' if you're going to off-road with that scooter.  har.  spyder

Did the same thing with mine several years ago, really fun trying to get out with no one around to help. And it was the type of slippery muck that doesn't wash off easily.

I did that leaving a buddy's farm......ended up 'laying it down' gently and getting help.
Do they make knobby tires in the right size and load range?

Back in the winter of 1987 we hit a warm spell in Ohio. At that time we lived on 120 acres one half mile off the road in a woods. I kept my bike in the downstairs laundry room as we had a walk out basement. Eager to ride to work one Saturday morning I got my bike out onto the patio and fired it up. Slipped it into gear took off and started on to the grass which was on a downhill slope. Ended up about 30 feet down the hill in slippery mud before I got it stopped. Had to lay it over on its side and go get my wife and 4 wheel drive truck. Hooked a bungie cord around the neck of the frame and to the truck. My wife sat on bike and steered it while I gently pulled her up the hill. After about 30 minutes I got it up the hill and in level ground. From there it was back on the patio and spend hours cleaning off winter mud. That was the last time I ever tried to do that.
