I'm not sure where I acquired this....found it in my downloads as I was cleaning up the computer.

It might solve some mysteries....or create more!

I found the same thing several years ago on the internet and saved a copy for consult when having work done.  A couple years ago when my '07 came out of ESP and I could not renew due to mileage over 75k I decided to have the local dealer change the cam bearings and lifters as a preventative measure. 

I asked for a written estimate for the work and was a bit surprised as the labor was more than I expected from the time codes.  I was pretty friendly with one of the service writers and asked him if they used the H-D time codes and he replied 'yes we do.'  I then asked why the labor hours for the work was more.  His reply:  'we multiply the time code by 1.5.'

Oh yeah, then they add an additional 5% for 'shop supplies.'

Oh well.   :nixweiss:

just had local dealer want to charge me for shop supllies on a esp work order. i informed them my cotract says I only pay $50.00, flat rate. charge all you want. this is all I'm paying. they dropped the other charges.
