Replacement windshield recommendation
« on: February 09, 2016, 11:48:30 AM »

Have a 2015 StreetGlide CVO, thinking about replacing the OE windshield, get a little too much wind with stock. Read many posts about Windveest, FreedomShield etc.   i am 5'8" so dont need anything real tall, thinking og either 7" or 8" would do.  Probably would rather see over the windshield vs. looking through it.
What say all on the best route to take.    Thanks for your input.

May I suggest the 8" light tint Freedom shield for your SESG.  I had a 7" and 8" on my '12 SESG and liked the 8" much better.  I'm 5' 6".  Great customer service.  I also suggest calling Freedom and telling John what you are looking for and he can help you with your selection.

Good luck

I went with Clearview and like it a lot. Being 5-10 I look over the windshield but those times when you do look thru it there is no distortion.

At 5' 6", I would not go over 8".  The 7" may work better for you.  Love my Freedom shield.

Another satisfied Clearview customer :huepfenjump3:  I have had Clearview Shields for my 2012 SESG, 2016 Softail Slim S, 2007 SERK, and a couple of Sportsters, and have been very pleased with the quality (no distortion) and customer service.

I like Long Ride Shields, and have been very happy with these on my last 2 touring bikes. I have the Ultra Elite, as it's made of polycarbonate instead of acrylic. Much stronger material and should be shatter proof.

I think Klock Werks is the best out there.
