Total round trip for the two days was 1,054 miles.....90% of it on two lane back roads.  Good weather and a great ride this Easter weekend.

527 miles per day and you still got great pics.  Great job, JC!    :2vrolijk_21:   :2vrolijk_21:

Great ride report JCZ!
I especially enjoyed the section on Beatty, Nev. Brings back memories from when I was a kid and we would go race the "Beatty Grand Prix" on our dirt bikes. It was also an all weekend party. They would have bands playing in a couple of different stages. At night on the main street corner I remember everyone would line up and this guy would ride a unicycle and strip naked while on it without falling. When you mentioned the wild burro's ... one of the other events of the weekend was a wild burro race. They would setup a separate smaller desert race marked with checkpoints and several people would sign up and draw a numbered wild burro and have to try to get the burro all around the track and get their card checked at each checkpoint just like us dirt bike racers. It was too much fun watching that! Every year this cool old indian would always when the burro race. He would chew on their ears and whatever else it took to get them around it. Some of the burros and their riders never make it out of the gate.
Anyway, those weekends were one of those you never forget. Thanks for the reminder!

The Happy Burro is a regular stop when in this area.  Panhead Jimmy, when you stop in this coming weekend will you ask them for my glasses.  Left them on the back table on the patio while I was feeding Blue.

I'll try to remember.  I'll only be in the Happy burro once or four times.

Your dinner at Gold Point looked fantastic.  Was Walt packing?  I already know.

Nice ride review.
