Rocker Lockers
« on: April 04, 2016, 02:45:00 PM »

Happy Spring Riding !!! I saw on You Tube a video on a product called Rocker Lockers. I believe their web site is dkcustomproducts.com or possibly Rockerlockers.com. The You Tube video shows the install and says that the inserts stop the play between rocker arm shaft and the bolt that fastens assembly to engine. Looks like it makes sense. Anyone used it with more than mediocre results, or just comments in general would be great. Check out the video. It seems to make sense, but many heads are better than one as I have found out since  becoming  member on this site. Thanks. CAHDBIKER ( if this subject has already been discussed my apologies for the repeat)

Like most fixes for valve train noise, some swear by Rockerlockers (or similar products) and claim a reduction or elimination of noise and others notice no difference.  It's an inexpensive product with no downside, so if you suffer from annoying noise, there's no harm in trying them...  I believe it's a member of the HTT forum that developed the product.

They work IF your rocker shaft is loose , and most are not so if the shaft is tight it will do nothing to reduce noise. But if the shaft is one that you can move it back and forth by hand yes it will stop the shaft from clicking back and forth

Worked for me. 2800-3200 noise in valve train GONE. Best $15 I ever spent.

Unfortunately you won't know if they will benefit you or not until you open the top end up enough to check the shafts for play.  Fortunately they aren't terribly expensive, so if you plan to open it up to take a look, having a set on hand will save the added time involved in buttoning it all up, ordering the parts, and then opening it up again once you receive them.

If they did remove the noise then the shaft was loose to start with.. Understand I am not against them I have them in stock and I use them , but only on shafts that I can see the witness marks ,
