I had a set of 444 on my FXR4 and I hated them.

I run Progressive 944HD's on mine.  Really like 'em, but may trade-up to Ohlins in the near future.  Ran 444's on Ol' Maudie.  They were not as stable as the 944's are.  I like a soft ride, as oppsed to firm, and I never could get the 444's exactly right.  They were too soft, and would bottom out, or would be too firm.  More ajustability with the 944's.  Too me, anyway.  Later--HUBBARD

Good shocks, just take the time to adjust them. If you don't understand how, then call Progressive and they will step you thru it. I feel like it takes a couple people, one to sit on the bike and one to adjust, or you can do it with one person, just takes a little longer.

I had 944's and mono tubes up front on my 09 SERG, they were much better than the 12" air that came on it.

My 12 SERG came with HD premium hand adjustable 12" shocks which were almost as good as the 944.

My 15 SERGU has 13" Ohlin HD-159's on it.  WAY Better than any other shock I have used.  Also un like progressive and many other they can be rebuilt when they were out.  Shocks do wear out, depending on quality between 20 and 40 K miles they are worn out.

I am running 944's on my 2014 Limited. I really like them. I started with them adjusted as loose as they would go and worked from there.

Had 444 on my 2014 for a short time and liked them. Just ordered 944 for my 16 CVO Limited. Up graded to the Ultra HD 944 to lower the bike 1 inch and the quality of the shock. Have heard the Olins are superior but the price point was too great considering the progressive's did the trick  before.  Don't recommend the Low 944 as that drops the bike 2 inches and didn't want to deal with scrapping around every corner when loaded and two up.
