So I'll put the mufflers back on my bike this evening after installing the 2.0 Fullsac baffles and 1/2 the stock packing (with the perforated screens)...no change to the stock head pipe/cat.
Stock performance is good for me...after all, it is a Screamin' Eagle 110, right?
I'm hoping for the classic Harley "throaty rumble" with the 2.0 baffles, but not overwhelming (the stock baffles are WAY too quiet)...I want some good throaty exhaust notes, but I also want to be able to hear the awesome Boom audio (never had tunes on my bike before this one).
Question 1 - - Considering I've only changed the baffles, do I need to have a remap/tune/recalibration (whatever all that is)?
Question 2 - - Will my H-D warranty be affected with the set-up I just installed? When I had RC slip-ons put on my last Harley, the dealer stated that the warranty was not affected...my local dealer "sort of" indicated the Fullsacs wouldn't affect the warranty, but I don't have that in writing...any of ya'll had experience with that?

There will be different opinions.  But:

1. You don't need to dyno tune but even on a stock bike, a good tune will give you better throttle response and some power.  The bikes are VERY lean from the factory.

2. Technically, no, unless HD could show the modification caused the issue for which you're seeking warranty repair.  That doesn't mean that the dealer or HD won't claim it did, however.  I've not heard of it happening and many have changed mufflers without issue.

I used the same cores on my bike with the stock tune for close to a year with no problems. When I finally replaced the head pipe and added the tuner with Fulsac's map it made a huge difference in felt heat and performance. I wish I wouldn't have waited! As far as warranty, the dealer would have to be a real a## to give you a hard time for baffles, but don't count it out. Now when it comes to extended warranties and an inspector is sent to review a claim, expect a denial. That is what there job is, to find a reason to deny a claim.

I agree with posts above on tune. But I'm afraid you will be disappointed in the sound. When changing mine I started my bike for a quick second with stock headers and no mufflers at all. I could hardly tell any difference between mufflers and no mufflers with stock headers. Apparently the cat in the stock headers really suppresses sound. Good luck.

I just noticed this is an old post. An update on sound would be appreciated.

IMHO, ya gotta get rid of that stock catted header -- I love FULLSAC -- its on my 16 CVO RG.  I just "flashed" with the pro tuner.  Ive done dyno on my other rides -- but this time I don't think I need it.  IMHO, Jim
