As long as your goal  is explained to your porter, and he knows what he's doing.tq & hp will both get better and actual curve shouldnt change

Could you share the link to that dyno sheet in SAE?

Here is the same build little different pipe.

Rockytop117,
Here is an SAE chart of an identical build with exception of the bike and exhaust.
I know you ride a lot has the compression being that high ever created any issues for you especially out west? BTW: sheet looks sweet for a 110!

I have never been out west with the bike. Most of the riding on this bike is local (38K). Mostly 200 to 400 mile day rides with the exception of Daytona and PCB rallies. I mostly use 100% 93 octane unless I'm traveling then I'll put in whatever flavor of 92/93 I can get.

Occasionally I get a little detonation but only on hot days and very light roll on the throttle. If you roll the throttle harder or full, no detonation at all. I'll run some Lucas Octane Booster off an on.

On another note, I'll be joining the ranks of you 117 guys soon. Just waiting on CP to finish the pistons. Decided to try the TW9B-6 cam this time. Hopefully I can report back on how it turns out in 2 to 4 weeks.

I've already been the Woods route & the noise just drove me insane. I used 8's with his lifters, rockers & billet girdles. It was good from 3400 up with MVA heads by Baisley. Did you just buy the cylinders & have pistons made?

I believe the 8s have a more aggressive ramp than the 9B. I'll find out soon enough I guess.

Yes, I just bought the cylinders and CP is supplying the pistons. I ended up with a 10cc dome. The extra compression and bigger motor should give me good torque down low. We'll see once it's together and put on the dyno. If I had to guess it should be better down low than the chart for my 110.

Hopefully Dan Baisley is using better guides, seals, and springs these days. >:(

Woods 8 are notorious for noise, the 9B not so much.

Mine with the same build as Joe, but different head pipe and mufflers graph is almost the same, he has a little more torque.

I have ridden mine to Northern WI, the Apostle Islands, I have also rode it to Key West and to Hot Springs AR.  When I can't get 100% pure gas 93 octane I use a little octane booster.

I pretty much have the same results with Detonation as Joe, not often.

Any idea what you guys are ending up at on CCP? I am looking at a build ending up around 205 and was wondering if you were higher than that

210 is a lot if you really plan on doing any touring with it (IMO)

I understand that I am on the high end but this is not my primary touring bike. This is my Hot Rod for local use and some of the closer rallies in the southeast.
