Brukus saddlebag one touch conversion
« on: May 03, 2016, 11:44:15 PM »

Anyone tried this yet or know anyone who has? converts the pre 15 saddlebags to 1 touch. I have always read good things about the other products Brukus makes.

Haven't seen one work, but the stock bag latch is a very simple device and I have found that most things that lock can be defeated if the crook is determined.  :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

is having one touch opening worth the trade off of having that big ugly plug sticking out the back of your bag?  for me the answer is no, but others might be willing to make that trade.

you could always replace your early bags with the newer bag style.  there are aftermarket versions available on ebay for around $300.  course the big expense would then be the cvo paint, but when has modding a harley, let alone a cvo, been cheap?

Just to clarify, We (Brukus) do not advertise this as a "one touch". But it is simple. It's been a long time actually getting out on the market, but now that we are able to key the keyed locks to your Harley, we are finally preparing to start shipping. One of the main purposes is to secure your bag and the contents of the bags as we have had dealers tell us how the brackets are flimsy and can easily be gotten into through the brackets. So we believe these will make your older hard saddlebags more secure.

Also, not sure the last pictures you saw, but we now recommend the new lock (chrome or black and keyed to your Harley, or black lever that you don't need a key to open) be placed in the front of the bag facing the seat. That way it doesn't affect the look of your bag.

The new bags are definitely a good alternative. Just wanted to let you know that we actually recommend the locks be put on the front of the bag facing the seats. And the keyed locks are only about an inch around.
