575 cams for 110"?
« on: February 07, 2007, 06:39:08 PM »

Hi, just talked to Pat at zippers about a cam for an '07 110"SE and he sugested using the 575 cam PN# 413-926S on a stage 1 bike. Looked up the specs online and only specs shown are for the #413-925(S&G).

Intake timing @.053” 24/98/40 Duration 244° TDC @ valve .194” Lift .575”

Exhaust timing @.053” 48/106/16 Duration 244° TDC @ valve .152” Lift .575”

Are the specs the same? Has this been tested on the 110" for valve/piston, or valve/valve clearance durring overlap ?  Thanks for any info!

Yes, specs are the same.  Here is a dyno comparing a stock 110" and a 110" with the 575, Rinehart TD's and ThunderMax.  Worked out well!  Thanks, JK

PS clearances are all good, except ALL the CVO's we've taken apart (103 & 110) have a clearance issue (even stock) between the valve spring collars and the rocker boxes that should be addressed.  Use your Dremel to remove a little material where the collar touches the box.  You should be able to slide a plastic wire tie between the spring collar and the rocker box (about .060") when assembled.
