2015 CVO softail to quite.....
« on: April 18, 2016, 12:26:34 PM »

Well got about 700 miles on my new CVO softail and getting tired of the sound of the stock exhaust. So made the call to my Harley stealer and ordered a set of Vance and Hines super radius with screaming eagle tuner and some Dyno time to tune it in. Dropping off Tuesday evening and picking up Thursday of next week. Will post pics and out come next Friday.

Friend had a new set of rush 2" Slip ons that I put on this morning and all I can say is very very loud ears still ringing went 40 miles and I'm sure woke everyone lol. Passed some old lady and thought she was going to put her car in the ditch must have scared her a little. I sure hope the new exhaust is a little quieter.

They got to be quieter than the rush 2" slip ons. Had a friend stop over with his bike he has straight duels no baffles stood be hind both bikes and had him and wife rev them up and my bike drowned his bike out could no hear his. With the rush slip ons you can feel and watch tach and notice a big difference in proformance in a positive way but it's ugly loud.

Well found out yesterday that the Vance and Hines super radius will not be going on my bike. Received a email from V&H explaining the problem they informed me that there is not enough clearance between the frame and the pipes with the saddle bag mount and there foot peg relocation bracket. So went to inform HD of this and settled for V&H pro pipe will post pics and Dyno numbers in a week :)

I have a pair of Rush 2" slip-ons on my Deluxe. Yes, they are loud, but not that loud. And once well tuned, nothing to do with some Vance, even on smaller engines...
