Best option for adding light when cornering
« on: June 02, 2016, 06:06:56 PM »

I like my Daynaker in a straight line, but it's dangerous in corners. What have people done to resolve this issue. I had the reflector daymaker and running lights on my 2013 ultra and it was much better in corners but not quite as good in a straight line. Does adding the daymaker running lights make a big difference. My new bike only has the headlight.

I was trying to stay away from running lights because I like the look. But my saftey is taking a precedent lol. I hit an I'm ramp on a dark road last night and litterally couldn't see anything. I had to slow down to about 15mph.

I didn't want to do it either, but I added the passing lamps and it makes a big difference.

On batwing bikes passing lamps are very nessessary for night time riding.  Made a huge improvement on my sg.  To me not hitting the branch lying in the road that you didn't see is way more cooler than looking good with out them. . . You won't be sorry adding them.  Stuart

So the running lights are helping a lot in the corners is the common consensus?

Absolutely. .  Get the day makers.  They are really good. . Remember. .  The led headlight throws out a very narrow beam. . Good straight.  Sucks in turns. . You won't believe the difference. . .  Night and day.   ;)  Stuart

Huge difference in cornering. I live in the boonies with twists to get home and I was having same issues with Daymakers in the tight stuff and the HD LED fogs work terrific. I also added the CD Ringz for turn signals

Ran the wires through the crash bars for a clean look.

Clearwater Darla's mounted on engine guard, unbelievably bright, had the Daymaker running lights on my 13 and they are not even close to being as bright as the Darla's.
