Paint Protection
« on: June 20, 2016, 06:21:45 AM »

Taking delivery of a new vehicle and was asked if I wanted paint protection.
Is paint protection worth the money or stick with the traditional hand waxing.
MotorOne is the name of paint protection offered.

None of the "protection" deals from the dealer are a good value. They are just a way to pad the bottom line. From Armorall on all plastic, scotchguard on all cloth to silicone coat on paint......it is all a ripoff. Royal Blue as soon as you get it home would be my choice.

I agree with the above in that if you have the desire or ability to do the maintenance yourself it is much cheaper to do it yourself. If on the other hand you have lack of mobility or the vehicle is to be mainly driven by a family member that doesn't see the importance of periodic washing and waxing it could help save the finish on your vehicle.
