Cam needle roller bearing removal
« on: August 25, 2016, 01:51:26 AM »

Advice please.

I want to replace  the needle rollers with new full complement bearings. I do not have the Harley tool referenced in the workshop manual. Do I have to buy one or is there another option. Is my memory playing tricks or have I read in some advert that the bearing vendor will supply the necessary alignment/extraction device.

Help would be appreciated .

I have seen the tools for rent and there is also someone on the Roadglide.org forum who will lend or rent the tool very inexpensively.

Thanks Greg.

I live in the UK so that option may not be available but I will give it a try.

georges garage has cheap tools.get the right tool for getting the bearing out,the cost will be a lot more if you screw it up & damage the bearing (like break it) and dump pieces all into your motor
