yes microphone works fine.
That would eliminate the microphone being bad then. I'm sure someone that has the Bluetooth set up will jump in and help you. One thing I do remember is someone having to unplug the bluetooth module and plugging it back (rebooting it sorta) to get it to work for some reason or another. Not sure if it was same problem as yours if I remember correctly theirs was working properly and then something happened and it wasn't working.

I'd try a different phone, especially if the one you are using is not on HD's list of supported phones.  It is very choosy about which phones work!

Is there another dealer close?  Sounds like a base unit issue since the voice commands do not receive your voice.

Call the MoCo and ask if it is their policy to have dealers charge diagnostic time for an obvious warranty issue.  Have you tried to get the dealer to sync and demo your phone.  That should be part of their delivery responsibility, not that they give a chit evidently.

If they are this poor, you ight as well pizz in their mess kit if you get no satisfaction and tell the MoCo about them.

To speak with a Harley-Davidson customer service representative call (414) 343-4056.

i have spoke to moco they would not even discuss or help troubleshoot they said to take to dealer for them to diagnose was the only way i could exchange or refund. the dealer where puchased is hard nosed wants me to drop off bike and pay for diagnoses and there is no set price we will let you know how many hours it takes. i just cant bend over like that . the bad thing is i traded a 2005 ultra classic with j&m cell phone interface that worked perfect i installed it myself also, no problems. any suggestions on how to exchange for new one or where , tried contacting a different dealer they said since i did not purchase from them they could not warranty without putting it in service for diagnostic fee.

Hard to understand, it is obviously inoperative.

Will they reimburse the diagnostic if it is defective?  Sounds like you are boxed in on this one if the other dealer won't do it either.

I agree, but it will be better to get it working and move on.  Pay for the diagnostic with a credit card and if they try to hose you dispute it with the card company.

Seems like a total pain in the azz to get warranty work done.  Best of luck with it.

i have debated purchasing another new hf unit and installing then pursuing refund through court i have documented all attempts through certified mail so far . good idea with credit card . taking this bike to this dealer feels like taking my daughter to dr. kevorkian.
