Infobrick altitude measurement
« on: August 31, 2016, 07:24:23 PM »

Forgive me if someone's whined about this before, but am I the only one who wonders why the infobricks measure altitude in feet until you reach 10,000' and then switch to miles?  NOBODY, with the possible exception of NASA, measures altitude in miles.  WTH were they thinking?

This is one thing, living in Florida, I will never experience. I assume you are talking about the radio when you call it a brick? Not sure what you mean by this. Mine works fine, I like it and all the features. Nothing brick like about it, that I can see.

Wish I could say the same.

I used to live in Michigan back in 1950 - 1972, and I don't remember any 10,000 foot altitudes, at least in the lower peninsula.  Where are you riding that thing?

As for figuring out why Harley and/or it's vendors do certain things, good luck with that.

We were in Colorado when I posted that comment.  You're right about Michigan's elevation - comes up about 8000' short.  Highest point is in the UP at something more than 1900'.
