if you know where they are going to be tuned that is one thing
better to be cautious than not
Paper thin spigots/cylinders are a crap-shoot. Period. Anyone that doubts this or says otherwise, is only
trying to sell you stuff. RUN AWAY!
Tune is super critical on these because the cylinder walls are just plain too damn thin. There are LOTS of
'marginally' tuned bikes out there without this problem. When one of these pieces of crap come in to me I
make them go back to a 103/95 (first or second over) and the problem is gone.
I'm not pointing fingers, but 3 or 4 cubic inches at the expense of super thin cylinders is defective logic.
There's little (if any) gain in the short term and problems in the long run are more likely than not.
