What does everyone use to secure you throttle grips that keep slipping off?

I've never had any to slip off.  Are you using stock HD parts? More explanation please.

Throttle grips come with the plastic sleeve built in, and are held on by the switch housing.  If the outer grip material is not stuck to the plastic sleeve, you have a defective grip.  Get a new one.  OR, are you talking about the little end caps on the grips?

I super glued the end caps.  If that's what you are talking about.

Thanks for the replies. I purchased a tube of "grip glue" to fix the problem. They were aftermarket grips.

I had aftermarket grip heaters, heat demons, installed and when they heated up the grips would start to loosen.

My stock one started slipping while on the road once. I thought something was wrong as I was trying to add more throttle and looked down to see it was the grip slidding off as well as slipping while twisting. Ended up at the next dealer up the road having to replace both as they didn't have just the throttle or the stock CVO grips.

this brings back many memories I'm sure for others too, not talking about modern Harleys but back in the day with motorcycles and bicycles I remember fighting them until more experienced people told me about spraying "either" that's starting fluid on the handlebar and inside the grip line it up and slap the end of it, then leave it alone for 5 minutes let the fluid evaporate, that's it stuck gooooood, especially Donkeys. who remembers Donkeys ?

yeah, that's a old problem from many moons ago.....haven't experienced it in the 'modern era', even with the heat-demons installed on both scooters.  LOVE the heat demons~  har!  spyder
